KICKIN' IT WITH NASHVILLE BASED FLOW POP ARTIST, DANNY G

PEEP FLOW POP ARTIST, DANNY G’S NEW KICKS AND NEW TUNES. NEW SONG “REEBOKS,” AVAIL EVERYWHERE, NOW!

YOU’VE GOT A NEW SONG CALLED “REEBOKS.” GIVE US THE BACKGROUND ON THE SONG - IT’S A SICK TITLE.

reeboks is cool because it’s about loving a girl but it’s not a lovey type song. It’s got a swag and pocket to it that I feel really represents this person I’m talking about. I’ve always been a big reeboks guy too so I really wanted to make a song around that.

YOU’RE A POP ARTIST IN NASHVILLE, TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THAT EXPERIENCE.

Doing pop in Nashville is dope and it’s been awesome to see the expansion of sounds and genres in town. I just try and do my thing and pave my own lane so I honestly enjoy being in the minority as far as style you’ll see here. But like I said, the town is growing and diversifying day by day.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE QUARANTINE JAMS

I been jamming to Kid Laroi, Surfaces, Kota The Friend, and my quarantine tapes during quarantine lol.

WHO ARE YOUR GO-TO COLLABORATORS IN TOWN

I’ve been able to work with some incredible producers in town, some being Will Mcbeath, Phil Barnes, and Sansol the Artist. I’ve also got a whole bunch of collaborations with artists, got some with Katie Mac, Dakota Ryley, Sansol the Artist, and Z Smith to name a few!

WHAT’S NEXT FOR DANNY?

I’ve got so many songs and videos in the vault it’s crazy, so just be ready for a lot of my best stuff yet!

NOT SO NASHVILLE FEATURE: LØLØ - "HATE U"

Check out “Hate U” the pop rock breakup anthem from Canadian artist, LØLØ. This is the second single from her upcoming sophomore EP, Permanent Damage.
Stream it below.

"Human nature has always got us thinking about things we want, and know we can’t have...why are we like this? There’s nothing worse than trying to ignore those feelings, especially when you’ve fallen for someone you’re not supposed to fall for. We blame it on the universe and shitty timing. We blame late nights and too much alcohol. In the end, we’re just looking for a bandaid—anything to make us feel better about it. In my situation, I wanted to feel something with this person, but love just wasn’t an option, so the only thing left to do was to channel all those feelings into absolutely hating them, and convincing myself that what I was feeling was never love in the first place. Hate U is the anthem for all us sorry suckers that never end up getting what we want."

FEATURE: BLACKOUT BALTER - "SURF"

Blackout Balter bring a rush of punk and 60’s alternative energies in their new single “Surf.” This is the lead single to their upcoming debut record “Animal.” Stream the song below!

Phil: "We knew we wanted this to be a fun one," says Blackout Balter frontman, Phil Cohen. "And we knew we wanted it to have a bit of that 60's surf aesthetic in there. Originally, we were going for this hitchhiker storyline: An old truck rolls down the road and picks people up along the way; but it basically just broke out into a big party [laughs]. The producer, John Mofield, did a great job capturing our energy."

Christina: "We've featured other characters in our music videos before, but for this one, we needed a tattooed beauty to play our video vixen, and I knew just the babe for the job.  My very best friend, Carolyn, came from Chicago to shoot with us, and she was the perfect 6th member of our team of hitchhikers.  Not only is she gorgeous, but she brought such a fun energy to the set and gave our video the finishing touch it needed."

TALKIN' TIK TOK WITH PRISCILLA BLOCK

A quick convo with Nashville’s newest Tik Tok sensation, Priscilla Block.
Check out the new single “Just About Over You” below!

Q+A

As an independent artist, your new single just went #1 on iTunes all genres. Talk a little bit about that journey.

You know, it feels so special. I've always believed in my music, but hell... I didn't think that this would do this! I am so thankful to the fans that made this happen and gave life to, "Just About Over You." There are so many amazing songs that never get heard and I just feel so lucky that this one has.

Any tips to new Tik Tokers, specifically those that are following an artist/writer path?

POST ALL THE DANG TIME. Don't get caught up on a video not looking perfect or sounding the best. Be yourself and people will get it.

Favorite Tik Tok trend?

Oh my gosh... the prank of calling your mom or dad and telling them that you got pulled over by a cop. The cop didn't give you a ticket because you said that your parents fell and hurt themselves. So then you have your mom or dad fake like they have hurt themselves because the cop is following you to make sure they are okay. I crack up so hard seeing those videos.

What are some of the current popular trends in your FYP (For You Page)?

I watch a ton of house flip videos. I love interior design (most people don't know that about me) and those videos are so satisfying to watch. but OBVIOUSLY also the WAP dance. Love me some Cardi B.

Dream Duet?

LIZZO WHERE YOU AT? honestly just wanna twerk with Lizzo.. what a dream.
