It all started with a friend of mine reflecting on an old flame that he had had. The song ended up being a reflective journey of the beginning stages of romance. As we all know, the world around us can seem to fade away in the initial stages of a romance. Even things you once loved (the ocean.)
TALK ABOUT YOUR SOUND AND HOW NASHVILLE HAS IMPACTED IT
Nashville has opened my eyes to so many new possibilities sound-wise. With my sound already being so pop-driven, it has been fun to see how new trends (Southern Pop, Indie Pop) have crept into my songs throughout the past couple of years. My producer (John-Luke Lewis) is a SAVANT of new/cutting edge sounds that surprise me every time, and I would’ve never had that without moving here and combining our skills/experiences.
WHAT’S AN UPCOMING TRACK YOU HAVEN’T RELEASED YET THAT YOU’RE MOST EXCITED FOR?
As I type this, final vocals are being edited for my 3rd Single Release, “Run To.” This is the most fun/upbeat of all my original releases and I am so stoked to see people singing along to this. Go follow @odell_music for occasional sneak peeks on the song/other songs! I expect to release this in early 2021 unless I get wild and drop it as a Christmas gift…
